Greetings Comrades;
Hope all of you are doing well. We are moving into fall
and soon enough the snow will be falling, please take
caution as the weather can be unpredictable.
As you know our Post made ALL- AMERICAN. It is truly
an honor for this Post to be recognized at the District,
State and National level. It Is my Intent that we continue
to make ALL-AMERICAN again this year. Thank you to all
who helped make this happen, let's do it again!!!
Unfortunately we have lost a few members over the last
year and those shoes will be hard to fill. Membership is
the cornerstone of the VFW. It is important for all of us to
Recruit new members, let's all do our part.
On November 9th, we will have our Veterans dinner and
will recognize membership, 4:00 Social, 5:00 Dinner. A
signup sheet will be posted in the club, please get your
name on the list as we need to know how many we need
to serve. I hope to see you all there.
November 11th is VETERANS DAY! There will be a
VETERANS program from 2-4 pm. At the VETERANS
MEMORIAL PARK in Blaine, and our COLOR GUARD will
be out in our community that day as well.
Our annual children's Christmas event will be held on
December 7th. Tickets for the event will be available
November 3rd following the membership meeting.
Tickets will NOT be available the day of the event so get
your tickets early. A big thank you to our Auxiliary for
everything you do.
As winter approaches please continue to check on your
neighbors and our friends who need assistance. I wish all
of you a Happy Thanksgiving and a Very Merry Christmas.
Take care and be safe,
Corky A. Olson
