U.S. MARINES

Since 1775, Marines have valiantly fought and died to protect our nation and advance its ideals. Our long and proud heritage of faithful service is fueled by an uncommon fighting spirit and the grit to continue on when others quit. From Belleau Wood to Afghanistan, the United States Marine Corps is America's stand-in force - always ready when our nation is least ready.

U.S. NAVY

America's Navy is a force as relevant today as it's been historically significant for the last 250 years. The times may change, the threats may become more obscure, the complex nature of 21st century life may make the demand for such presence less obvious. However, now more than ever, the Navy is something to be aware of, something to be thankful for and something to be proud of.

U.S. AIR FORCE

Air Force has a vision of Global Vigilance, Reach and Power. That vision orbits around three core competencies: developing airmen, technology to war fighting and integrating operations. These core competencies make our six distinctive capabilities possible.

U.S. SPACE FORCE

The U.S. Space Force protects our country and the freedom to operate in space, keeping it secure, stable and accessible for military space power and new waves of innovation.

U.S. COAST GUARD

We protect the personal safety and security of our people; the marine transportation system and infrastructure; our natural and economic resources; and the territorial integrity of our nation-from both internal and external threats, natural and man-made.

NATIONAL GUARD

The National Guard is the primary combat reserve of the Army and Air Force, seamlessly providing enduring, rotational, surge and follow-on forces to the Joint Force to fight and win the nation’s wars and defend the homeland. Unique to the National Guard is our ability to apply the personnel, training and equipment for our wartime missions and our state responses in the homeland. When disaster strikes in the homeland, the National Guard stands ready to deploy and serve at a moment’s notice to protect life and property in our communities.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Sponsor - Suburban Corvettes Of Minnesota

Suburban Corvette Club was established in January, 1970, led by a group of friends who were looking to get together for some social activities involving Corvettes.

The original club consisted of 12 members, and has grown to almost 200 members. In 1976, SCM joined the National Council of Corvette Clubs. In 2005 the club hosted the NCCC annual convention in the Twin Cities and Brainerd.

SCM contributes to several charities, the largest being Spina Bifida for the past 25 years. The club has also done special fundraisers for Cancer, Caring and Sharing Hands, and food shelf drives.

The membership is active in car shows, cruises, and charitable and social events that includes travel throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
